Zenith RBA engages with local and Indigenous communities, providing support and education, which in turn leads to better employment opportunities. Just as our sustainability agenda looks for long term solutions, the same applies to our work with Indigenous youth.
Zenith RBA are thrilled to partner with Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS).
MITS is a Year 7-8 transition school on Wurundjeri Country in Richmond, Melbourne, and exists to create pathways to greater opportunity for indigenous students from remote and regional communities in NT and Victoria.
As part of our Indigenous Action Plan, Zenith RBA have assisted MITS with their recently completed offices and new boarding house on Church St in Richmond. By providing a range of workstations and miscellaneous furniture, Zenith RBA aim to support MITS in their goal of providing Indigenous students with the opportunity to go on and lead empowered lives full of choice.
Zenith RBA are excited to partner with Clontarf as a key community initiative within our Indigenous Action Plan. Clontarf exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men to equip them to participate more meaningfully in society. They operate 138 Academies in WA, NT, QLD, NSW, and VIC supporting more than 10,000 young Indigenous men.
Zenith RBA are thrilled to announce that we have recently established a new partnership with the Polly Farmer Foundation.
Established in 1994 and built off the back of Polly’s belief that "Education is the key for Aboriginal people to take their rightful place in modern Australian society”, the foundation has a vision for all Aboriginal Australians to have an enriching and successful education and a wide range of career and life choices.
As part of our reciprocal commitment to the communities in which we operate, for 2023 Zenith’s JAC tree planting initiative in Australia has been focused on Ecological Restoration in South-West WA. This is an ongoing programme to which Zenith has contributed 15,822 trees since July 2022.
Tambellup Noongar Farm is a property that is owned by the Aboriginal community in the town of Tambellup adjacent to the Gordon River. Working with the Tambellup Noongar community and the Binalup Ranger Aboriginal Group, the project aims to undertake a cultural and ecological restoration of 130 hectares of degraded cleared land next to the river. For this Aboriginal owned project site, works will provide ongoing education and discovery for the community and provide empowerment through on going employment.
Zenith RBA is a Supply Nation certified Indigenous business. It was established to support and grow the Indigenous business sector and empower Indigenous Australians. Zenith RBA is a partnership between RBA Abbott Pty Ltd and Zenith Interiors.
Our Indigenous Action Plan ensures we deliver key outcomes in the areas of community, employment and awareness to support the reconciliation framework within Australia as follows:
Build respectful relationships to support Indigenous youth education through school and sporting programs.
Provide employment opportunities for Indigenous people both internally and via our partner and supply network.
Provide ongoing Indigenous cultural awareness education and acknowledgment for all employees nationally.
By working together we can end the disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians through empowerment and employment.
