“Named after Nathan's wife’s grandfather, Mel Bloomer, the designer and engineer of the first opening quarter light window that went into the early Kombi camper vans,” says designer Nathan Day. Handcrafted in Solid American Oak and American Walnut. Mel was designed as an economical seating option for Quarterlight, Vista St and Wonton tables.

Nathan Day Design, are a team of young master craftsmen, dedicated to designing and producing exceptional, contemporary furniture for the Australian residential and commercial markets.
All furniture is made in a purpose built workshop in Vasse, Western Australia. Custom designed in American Walnut, Oak, Jarrah, and Tasmanian Blackwood.
Nathan believes in a sustainable approach to furniture design that is very much about longevity. “If a piece of furniture is thoughtfully designed, beautifully crafted and appropriately finished, it will be used and loved for generations.”
