That's a wrap on MILANTRACE 2019

Following the success from ZENITH’s first MILANTRACE in New Zealand, we brought back Dana Tomic Hughes, founder of award-winning online design publication Yellowtrace, to share unparalleled inspiration and insights from Salone Del Mobile and Milan Design week 2019 to the local design community.

ZENITH Auckland Showroom

MILANTRACE is an annual project by Yellowtrace that brings highly curated, independent and democratic coverage of the design week as well as capturing ideas, installations, products and general highlights. The week showcases over 2,000 exhibitions at the furniture fair, and nearly 1,000 popups scattered around the city, from the most dynamic and creative designers and brands, drawing over 450,000 visitors from countries all over the world.

ZENITH’s second year in partnership with Yellowtrace saw to an increase in interest from the New Zealand design community, bringing about one event in Auckland and one in Wellington. Held in ZENITH’s new Auckland showroom and the Prefab Hall in Wellington, we were joined by over 150 people to experience Dana’s presentation on highlights and insights direct from Milan.

Grazing Table by Little Wolf

Both nights were kicked off with drinks upon arrival with a Spanish inspired grazing table by Little Wolf in Auckland and canapes by the Canape Company in Wellington.

Thank you to Dana Tomic Hughes and the team at Yellowtrace for making this project possible and to everyone who joined us – we look forward to bringing MILANTRACE back to New Zealand next year!
