On 20 August, the Zenith Perth showroom welcomed 16 guests for an intimate evening of fine wine, conversation and connection, hosted in partnership with our current in-house wine partner, Battles Wine.
Set around the Teddy Project table, the evening offered guests the opportunity to discover and taste the latest release vintages from Battles Wine — a boutique local winery highly regarded within the Australian wine industry.
A Fresh Approach to the Showroom Experience
Rather than placing the focus on Zenith products, the evening centred around the wine itself. This created a relaxed and natural environment for clients to connect, converse and experience the showroom without the event feeling like a traditional product-led evening.
While conversations naturally turned towards Zenith and our products throughout the night, the unforced approach created a genuine opportunity to engage with clients in a different setting.
The calibre of guests was a particular highlight, bringing together senior decision-makers alongside mid-level designers created a dynamic mix of perspectives and connections that can be difficult to achieve through a conventional showroom event.
To bring a touch of Zenith personality to the evening, marketing totes were placed on each guest's chair. Among them were two ‘Mystery Totes’, each containing a bottle of the wine being tasted.
The surprise created a fun moment of engagement and gave guests the opportunity to interact with our marketing material in a way that felt natural rather than forced.
Building Meaningful Connections
Beyond the wine tasting itself, the evening demonstrated the value of creating experiences that bring people together around shared interests. Partnering with a respected boutique local wine brand allowed Zenith to reinforce its connection to the local design and business community while offering clients something genuinely different.
The response was fantastic, with numerous guests already requesting more events of this kind.
The evening proved that sometimes the best way to bring people into the showroom isn't to lead with the product — it's to create an experience worth showing up for.
