100K Trees Planted!-New Zealand

Zenith is proud to announce a very significant milestone: Over 100,000 trees have now been planted through our partnership with One Tree Planted, reinforcing our mission to drive meaningful, sustainable change throughout the regions in which we operate. This achievement stems from our enduring ‘Jac Initiative’, where a tree is planted for every Jac purchased. This initiative has delivered remarkable outcomes thanks to the continued support of our clients and the design community who share our conviction to minimise impact on the environment.

In New Zealand, our efforts have focused on ecological restoration in Waingake Forest, within the Gisborne region, where the program has not only focused on ecological restoration but the enrichment of the local mana whenua.

WAINGAKE FOREST: Our New Zealand program is restoring ecosystems by planting 14 different native tree species, including manuka, kahikatea, and totara. These species have been selected for their capacity to stabilise erosion-prone soils, improve water quality, and enhance biodiversity. Eco-sourced seeds and staged planting approaches create vital habitats for 25 native animal species, such as the Spotless Crake and long-tailed bats, strengthening ecosystem resilience and supporting both cultural and environmental sustainability.

This initiative is built in partnership with local iwi, mana whenua of Waingake, formalised under a Memorandum of Understanding, reflecting shared principles of stewardship under Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Beyond restoration, the program enables iwi-based employment, training, and capacity building, ensuring the benefits reach communities directly.

We are deeply grateful for everyone who has supported the Jac Initiative. Each tree planted is a testament to collective action towards a healthier, more resilient planet.

In total, since the Jac Initiative commenced, 10705 trees have been planted in Aotearoa.
