COLLECTION
PRODUCT STORY

Sprint
Sean Dix continues to grow the Dix Collection with the release of the Sprint stool and stacking chair.
Sprint is one of my favourite designs, partly perhaps because of the challenge it presented.
It is quite minimal but has a personality. it looked to me a bit like it was ready to jump up and take off so I called it Sprint, like the Vespa scooter classic 'Sprint Veloce'.
Sprint also feels to me like something that came out of a 1950s metalworker’s shop - a matter-of-fact design that has nothing extraneous and is built for hard use. and it’s a stacking chair that doesn’t look like a stacking chair.
Moulded timber back & seat, injection moulded foam seat, when upholstered, and powder coated steel frame.
