AUKI collection is a series of lounge chairs, foot stools and tables in various sizes. AUKI lounge chair is available fully upholstered in a fire-retardant moulded polyurethane foam and is available on 4 leg, swivel 4-star (flat) and round bases with optional return mechanism. Additional upholstered headrest is available for added comfort. AUKI foot stool is available fully upholstered with powder coated or matt chrome 4-star base (flat) or with timber legs. AUKI table and coffee table are available with a powder coated or matt chromed 4-star base (flat) with square or round laminate, 10mm HPL, HPL Fenix or 16mm wooden tops. AUKI coffee table is also available with timber legs.
Hee Welling (born 1974) is educated from the University of Art and Design Helsinki (Finland) and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - department of furniture design, form where he graduated, with a master degree in furniture design in 2003. He established his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003 and works within the fields of furniture-, interior- and industrial design.
Among his clients is – Hay, Erik Jørgensen, Fredericia Furniture, Lammhults, Laufen and Lapalma.
His work has been awarded several awards, including – the Bo Bedre design award (Denmark), the Good Design award (USA), the new Danish Art foundation (Denmark) and he has been nominated as Danish designer of the year 2013 by Danish magazine - Bolig Magasinet.
Hee Welling’s design has be exhibited at different fairs and museums around the world – e.g. Danish export exhibition - Tokyo, ICFF - New York, 100% design - London, Stockholm Furniture Fair, Horsens Art museum, IMM – Cologne, Maison&Objet - Paris and Salone del mobile - Milan.
His work has been used for different international interior projects, such as the Oslo opera house (Norway), the Australian parliament, Google head office, Danish national television, the Astrup Fearnley museum and the Danish parliament.
Besides his studio he had teached at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Danish Institute for Study abroad – DIS.
