Boomerang is the result of an extensive ergonomic study for the elderly with emphasis on ease of movement for sitting and support when getting up. Good back and seat support designed to promote a correct posture. Consideration has been given to careful positioning of the seat, back and armrests. The reverse arm options allow side access when seated. The Wing Armchair is also available as a recliner and on wheels. The repeated use of a common element gives the Boomerang collection its name. A surprising element that can be used to give a variety of pieces a common theme. The collection’s modern pieces are designed to be of timeless appeal and has the capacity to fit into a multitude of different environments. The table has been adapted and can be used with a wheelchair.
Quim is one of the heavyweights of Spanish design. He holds the National Design Award for his career as an architect, designer and journalist.
In the 80s he founded and directed the magazine Ardi with Juli Capella - from which he promoted interesting initiatives that have given wings to the culture of design made in Spain.
Currently he chairs the Andalusian Design Center and directs a study focused on both architecture and industrial design. As a result of this activity, in which Katherine Bedwell also collaborates, the bench seating named Agrada was born, for Onn Outside; also the Boomerang collection for Sancal - an edgy and successful project resulting in an extremely versatile chair range.
